Expanding Team

When RLB contacted Mulberry GBC regarding the provision of a new car park extension in Crawley, Mulberry provided a design that was value engineered to ensure that substantial savings could be made for their client, Tesco.
Upon handover of the new car park the Tesco team were presented with a new, fully constructed asphalt car park providing an additional 40 parking bays.

With access to the site restricted, Mulberry liaised with a neighbouring farm to gain access to the work area and protected the land by constructing a haul road with aluminium track mats. The site extension bordered woodland that had a number of dead and overhanging trees that posed a risk of injury to car park visitors and vehicles. The Mulberry team worked with the landowner and carried out the tree felling and de-limbing of the fractured and dying branches.

Mulberry provided RLB with an alternative car parking layout that was safer for users and gave Tesco much needed additional parking bays. Electrical power cabling and street lighting columns were delivered, and a French drain was constructed on the boundary line. New perimeter fencing was erected and reseeding of the farmers field completed the works.
